**DEMAND FOR SERVICES & ZERO TOLERANCE**

As we move out of restrictions we are currently experiencing a huge increase in demand on our services.  We would ask that patients’ think before they call us as to whether another service can be of assistance – NHS 111, Community Pharmacies, www.patient.co.uk can all provide valuable assistance for some ailments.  Should you need to contact the practice, we would ask that you please be respectful to our staff and treat them with courtesy and respect.  Sadly, we have seen a large increase in abuse towards our staff which we will not tolerate under any circumstances.  Should such an instance arise our Zero Tolerance procedures will be initiated and you will be asked to register with another practice as we will not accept abuse towards our extremely hard-working staff who have worked so diligently throughout the pandemic.  The Pall Mall Surgery clinical team has continued to see patients face-to-face throughout the pandemic and will continue to do so.   Please work with us to maintain the high standards of care we always strive to provide.

**CONTACTING THE SURGERY**

If you do wish to discuss any concerns with the practice please kindly contact us by telephone.

To make an appointment you will need to contact the surgery by phone ONLY.  We are not able to take appointment requests face to face.  To manage the current situation and to care for our patients and staff the Pall Mall Surgery shall be managing appointments, firstly by using telephone triage.  If the clinician feels you need to be seen an appointment will be made for you to attend the surgery.

We have worked hard to put measures into place to ensure that any visits to the surgery are kept as safe as possible.

NHS Guidelines state that any patient attending the Pall Mall Surgery will need to wear a face mask / face covering.  Children under the age of 5 are exempt.  Any persons not wearing a mask will not be permitted to enter, unless they are covered by the guidelines for those who are exempt.

If you are suffering from any respiratory symptoms such as cough, temperature, and / or sore throat and you are asked to attend the surgery you will be given an appointment in a designated area.  Please wait in your car until we call you on your mobile at the time of your appointment.
